Mothers day is here again. I hope you all have got in touch with your Mothers, sent a card or at least thought about your mother on this special day.
Of course we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for our Mothers but have we really thought about how hard it was for our Mums? Although it may have been their dream to make a family they had to sacrifice a lot.
Mother’s day is here again. I hope you all have got in touch with your Mothers, sent a card or at least thought about your mother on this special day.
Of course, we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for our Mothers, but have we really thought about how hard it was for our Mums? Although it may have been their dream to make a family, they had to sacrifice a lot.
It is a part of reality that many mothers experience either a form of anxiety or depression during and or after pregnancy. I hope that my Mother was OK, and she had someone to lean on. I remember becoming a father and the feelings of fear about how to raise a small child that was so fragile. So I guess anxiety was real for me at that time.
My Mother always looks forward to her special day rather than her birthday because she really takes pride in raising us, and she also doesn’t like to be reminded of becoming one year older.
Whenever I have some sort of problem, I normally choose whether I should share it with her. I don’t want to worry her, but sometimes I need her advice. I always feel better when I hear her opinions on what is on my mind. No matter if it is helpful or not.
Over the years, especially when transitioning from a teen to an adult, I remember all of the advice she has given me. How she has helped me to hang in there during tough times at work and study. She always made me realise that life, no matter how hard it is, always gets better.
I wonder how your Mother has helped you in your life? Whether your Mother was strict or an easy-going parent, I am sure that she made a big impact on your life. Mothers are not super human but they somehow do super-human things. Let them enjoy their special day.
I am grateful for everything my Mum has given me. The power to be resilient, hard-working, loving, compassionate, but most of all her gift of life.
Thanks Mum.
Happy Mother’s Day
